Terms of use

The framework under which the service is made available to you, and what each party undertakes to respect.

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the convertislowed.app site and of the audio processing tool it makes available. They constitute a contract between the publisher, identified in the legal notice, and anyone using the service.

2. Access to the service

The service is accessible without creating an account and without registration. It requires a recent browser and an internet connection, the cost of which remains yours. Processing your own files is free; importing from a YouTube link requires paid access, described in the next article.

No limit is imposed on the number of conversions, subject to reasonable use. A request rate-limiting mechanism protects the service against automated or abusive use.

3. Paid access to YouTube mode

Processing files you import from your own device is free, with no limit on volume and no account.

Importing from a YouTube link requires paid access, offered at €6.99 for seven days or €19.99 for one year. These are one-off payments: no subscription, no automatic renewal, no later charge. Access simply ends when its term expires.

Prices are stated in euros, inclusive of any applicable tax. Payment is handled by Stripe; the publisher neither receives nor stores any card details.

Access takes the form of a key, delivered immediately after payment and shown on the return page. It is stored in the browser used. It is up to you to keep it; if lost, the publisher can retrieve it on request sent from the email address used at checkout.

Right of withdrawal. As the service is supplied immediately, you expressly waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal by ticking the box provided at checkout, in accordance with article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code. Without that waiver, access cannot be delivered.

Refunds. Where a failure attributable to the service prevents you from using YouTube mode, the publisher refunds on simple request. Any refund, whatever its origin, immediately deactivates the corresponding key.

Sharing a key with third parties, reselling it or publishing it leads to its revocation without refund.

4. Permitted and prohibited uses

You may use the tool to transform content in which you hold the rights, or whose use is permitted to you by law or by authorisation of the rights holder.

The following are prohibited in particular:

• processing protected content without holding the necessary rights or authorisations;
• circumventing technical protection measures of any kind;
• processing unlawful content, in particular infringing, hateful or violent content, or content harming the dignity of individuals;
• any attempt to impair the operation of the service: mass automation, circumvention of limits, intrusion, injection, flooding;
• reselling, making available or commercially exploiting the service or its results without the publisher’s prior agreement.

It is for you to verify that the use you make of content is lawful, including with regard to the terms of use of the third-party platforms from which you enter a link. The private copying exception, where it applies, does not cover every use.

5. Your content and your rights

You retain all rights in the files you supply and in the results obtained. The publisher claims no right in that content, does not exploit it and does not keep it beyond processing.

You indemnify the publisher against any third-party claim relating to content you have processed in breach of that party’s rights.

6. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, technical incidents, or because of a third-party service the tool depends on — in particular where an external platform restricts access to its content.

The publisher may change, restrict or discontinue all or part of the service, without this giving rise to any right to compensation. No service level commitment is undertaken. Should a lasting outage make YouTube mode unusable for a significant part of a current access period, the publisher would refund that access pro rata on request.

7. Liability

The publisher is responsible for the proper technical functioning of the service within the limits of a best-efforts obligation. They are not responsible for the content processed, which is entirely your own initiative.

Their liability cannot be engaged for indirect damage, loss of data or of an un-downloaded file, loss of profit, nor for the consequences of use of the service contrary to these terms or to the law.

These limitations apply to the extent permitted by applicable law, and do not affect the statutory guarantees available to consumers, nor the publisher’s liability in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

8. Suspension of access

The publisher may restrict or suspend access to the service, without notice, in the event of use contrary to these terms, of impairment of the service, or of a reasoned notice from a rights holder.

9. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy, and the use of trackers in the cookie policy. These documents form an integral part of these terms.

10. Changes to the terms

These terms may be amended at any time. The applicable version is the one published on this page at the time you use the service. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law.

In the event of a disagreement, you are invited to contact the publisher in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, and if you are acting as a consumer, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge or refer the matter to the European online dispute resolution platform. Failing amicable resolution, the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.

12. Language version

This page is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the reference text and prevails in the event of any divergence of interpretation.
