Privacy policy
What is processed, why, for how long, and the rights available to you.
Updated on August 22, 2026
Your audio files are never kept. They are processed then deleted automatically within thirty minutes at most. No account, no history, no sale of data. Audience measurement is enabled only with your agreement.
Contents
1. Data controller
The data controller is Mickaël Barthémy, sole trader, 229 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France, SIRET 937 635 944 00013. Any request concerning your data may be sent to contact@convertislowed.app.
Given the nature and volume of the processing carried out, no data protection officer has been appointed. This address is the single point of contact.
2. Data processed and purposes
Audio files and links you supply
When you import a file or enter a link, the corresponding content is sent to the server to be transformed, then returned to you. This content is not analysed, indexed, viewed or disclosed to any third party. It is not associated with any identifier allowing you to be recognised from one visit to the next.
An audio file may in some cases contain personal data — a voice, a name in the metadata. Such data is subject to no processing other than the transformation requested, and disappears with the file.
Technical connection data
Like any server, the infrastructure records the information needed for its operation and security: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type. These logs serve solely to ensure the availability of the service, detect abusive use and limit the number of requests per visitor.
Audience measurement
If you consent to it, Google Analytics 4 records information about your browsing: pages viewed, referral source, device type, language, actions performed in the tool. IP addresses are anonymised. This data is used to understand how the service is used and to decide what to improve.
Without consent, no audience measurement takes place.
Correspondence
If you write to the contact address, your email address and the content of your message are processed for as long as needed to reply and follow up on your request.
Payment for YouTube mode
If you buy access to YouTube mode, your email address and the details of the transaction are processed in order to issue the key, produce the receipt and meet accounting obligations. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and never pass through this site.
What is not done
The service creates no account, builds no advertising profile, neither sells nor rents any data, and carries out no automated decision-making producing legal effects concerning you.
3. Legal bases
| Processing your files | Performance of the service you request — article 6(1)(b) GDPR. |
|---|---|
| Technical logs and security | Legitimate interest in ensuring the availability and security of the service — article 6(1)(f). |
| Audience measurement | Your consent, collected via the banner and revocable at any time — article 6(1)(a). |
| Replying to your messages | Legitimate interest in responding to enquiries received — article 6(1)(f). |
| Purchase of paid access | Performance of the contract to deliver the key — article 6(1)(b); legal obligation for keeping accounting records — article 6(1)(c). |
4. Retention periods
| Audio files imported or extracted | Thirty minutes at most, then automatic deletion. Usually far less. |
|---|---|
| Technical logs | As long as needed for security and diagnostics, not exceeding twelve months. |
| Audience measurement | Fourteen months. |
| Correspondence | For the time needed to handle the request, then three years from the last exchange. |
| Proof of cookie consent | Six months, in line with the CNIL recommendation. |
| Licences and accounting records | A licence is kept for as long as it is valid, then twelve months to handle any claim. Invoices and supporting documents are kept for ten years, as required by French commercial law. |
5. Recipients and processors
No data is sold, rented or transferred. The only third parties involved are the technical providers essential to running the service:
| Infomaniak Network SA | Hosting of the site and of the processing. Data located in Switzerland, a country recognised by the European Commission as offering an adequate level of protection. |
|---|---|
| Google Ireland Limited | Audience measurement, only where consent has been given. |
| Stripe Payments Europe | Payment collection and fraud prevention. Processor established in Ireland, which may transfer data outside the European Union under appropriate safeguards. |
Data may also be disclosed to an administrative or judicial authority where the law so requires.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Hosting is provided in Switzerland, which benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission: these transfers require no additional safeguard.
Audience measurement, when enabled, may give rise to a transfer to the United States. That transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework to which Google has certified, supplemented by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Refusing audience measurement cookies is enough to rule out any such transfer.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. These rights may be exercised at contact@convertislowed.app. You will receive a reply within one month.
One limit is worth stating honestly: since audio files are attached to no identifier and disappear within thirty minutes, it is technically impossible to retrieve a file concerning you after the fact. The right of access cannot therefore extend to them — not out of refusal, but because the data no longer exists.
If you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority — Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, www.cnil.fr — or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
8. Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted over HTTPS. Files being processed are isolated, cannot be listed from outside, and are erased automatically. Server access is restricted to the publisher. The number of requests per visitor is limited in order to prevent abusive use.
No measure guarantees absolute security. In the event of a data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights, you would be informed in accordance with article 34 GDPR.
9. Minors
The service is not specifically aimed at minors and knowingly collects no data concerning them. As no age information is requested, a minor may technically use the tool; it is for them, and for their legal guardians, to ensure that such use is appropriate.
10. Changes
This policy may change along with the service. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. Any substantial change to the purposes or the recipients would give rise to a fresh collection of your consent.
11. Language version
This page is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the reference text and prevails in the event of any divergence of interpretation.
